Prom Policy


At Blush Prom and Occasion Studio we have a fashionable, fun and young prom collection. We range from sizes 0-30 and stock many different styles; fishtail, fitted, two-pieces, backless, high neck, Bardot and many more. We aim to find your perfect dress! Our customers travel to us for the service we provide. We fully stock two beautiful brands Tiffanys and To The Nines and our 2020 collection is detailed with embroidery, sequins, beading and satins. Our ruffled fish tails and ball gowns are the most popular in the North-East.

Each under 16 requires their parent/guardian to be present during an appointment.

We are open 7 days a week plus late nights until 9pm. All appointments are free of charge. You are under no obligation to buy but with our range of styles and colours it is rare not to find your perfect dress! Have a look at our frequently asked questions page and brilliant Facebook reviews.

Our Ordering service

  • £50 deposit holds the dress to your school.
  • 50% of the dress would need paying by certain dates to order (you will be notified of these dates on your appointment).
  • the remainder of the payment is required on collection of the dress.
Our In Stock Service
  • £50 deposit holds the dress to your school.
  • We cover any ‘in stock dresses’ and move them from show.
  • Payment would need to be paid within a 2 month time frame or the dress will be placed back on the rack.
  • We also offer a Payl8r finance option on request.

Our payment plans are there to help you afford your prom purchase, we recommend you place a deposit early to avoid disappointment due to anyone else purchasing it before you!

DRESS EXCLUSIVITY – We do NOT sell the same style to the same school, even in another colour! However, we cannot guarantee that the same dress can’t be purchased from another retailer in another town or city, no store will give you this guarantee. In the unlikely event that this happened we would not be able to refund or exchange your purchase once the order has been placed with the manufacture.

DEPOSITS – Our requirement of a £50 deposit is non-refundable.

SIZE ORDERING – We measure bust, waist and hip measurements and we order by the biggest measurement. This means, you may have to consider alterations. We advise the customer of the dress size needed before ordering. In this event we cannot refund or exchange as we match current measurements. If your measurements have changed due to gaining weight or weight loss we can’t be held responsible.

COLLECTIONS – We will make you aware of the terms of collection on order or purchase, if your dress is in stock please inspect your purchase thoroughly before leaving our premises.

RETURNS POLICY – Because we offer an appointment only service you have the opportunity and time to try on many dresses with no obligation to order or buy unless you choose to. In the unlikely event that you no longer require your dress or change your mind, this is through no fault of our own and refunds or exchanges cannot be made.

EVENT CANCELLATION – If your Prom/Event has been cancelled and your dress has been ordered or held in stock you are still responsible for the full payment of your dress.

ALTERATIONS – We have a recommended seamstress who can assist with any alterations that you may require.


  • If your dress is purchased with us we offer a hair deal you can’t refuse. £35 includes trial, hair on the day and synthetic clip-in extensions or ponytail (usually £65)
  • If your dress is purchased elsewhere we offer another deal £45 for a trial and on the day hair. Our extensions come at extra cost.
